Residential Respite Services

These services are intended to ensure that the consumer’s needs are met when a Family Member has to deal with such things as illness, emergencies and vacations.

Respite services are provided by Special Needs staff by means of hourly respite.  This respite will be delivered at the Special Needs Taconic IRA, an OPWDD certified residence.

While staying with Special Needs, an individual will continue to work on their independence, integration, individualization and productivity by our highly trained staff. Individuals staying with Special Needs will enjoy the comfort of their own room and staff to meet their needs for the length of their stay. 

Special Needs staff will be trained on an a case by case basis to ensure each individual has the highest quality of care we can offer during their stay.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Diagnosis of Mental Retardation and/or Developmental Disability
• Medicaid Waiver Enrolled
